The Guys You’ll Meet in College

by

Sure, every college student wants to be independent and unique, and many are. But there’s no denying that there are certain personality types you’re bound to run into on your college campus. Here’s a look at some of the guys that you’ll meet while you’re in college.

The lecher. This guy only goes to class so he can pick up girls. He might be a frat boy or douche, but either way, he’s going to harass the girls in class. Some girls may talk to him, but most realize his game early on and don’t bother. Don’t encourage him by letting him borrow your notes or cheating off your midterms.

That guy no one really knows. Everyone seems to know who he is, but can’t tell you anything about him, because no one’s actually talked to him. You’ll say hi if you pass each other on campus, and you might even be Facebook friends, but chances are slim that you’ll really get to know this mystery man.

The douche. The douche usually looks like he walked out of an episode of Jersey Shore, but he can be a jock, fratboy, or even hipster. He’ll probably have gel in his hair and eyebrows that are more well groomed than your girlfriend’s. This guy might be annoying sometimes, but mostly, he just wants to look good and have fun.

The attention seeker. The attention seeker is the one who will do just about anything to get people to watch what he’s doing. Whether that’s jumping off a roof, starting a fight, walking to the shower naked, or dropping his pants at a party, you’re sure to know who he is as soon as you see him. If you encounter this guy, you can either ignore him, or feed his ego, safe in the knowledge that he at least looks like more of a social gaffe than you do.

The stoner. This guy discovered pot when he got to college. He’s not a bad guy to hang out with, assuming you like Bob Marley.

The frat boy. No list of college guys would be complete without the frat dudes. Likely sporting a preppy look and maybe even a popped collar, your Grandma would probably approve of him until she found out what he does on the weekends.

These are just some of the common male personality types you’ll meet in college. Try to avoid becoming one of these stereotypes, and have fun being your own person while you’re in college.
