The program begins with courses in business, communications, and government. These are all important topics that overlap the legal field. You will learn to build practical skills on a solid foundation of knowledge, with thorough instruction in civil litigation, business law, real estate law, torts, family law, and the law of wills, trusts, and estates. Additional courses cover important aspects of paralegal careers, such as how to: support a supervising attorney, interview clients and witnesses, investigate facts, draft documents, do legal research and make preparations for court.
