RN to BSN Degree Completion

RN to BSN program provides necessary knowledge for registered nurses to transition to effective professional nursing practice in a rapidly changing environment. Health care environment requires professional nurses who can champion health promotion and disease prevention, function effectively in ambiguous, unpredictable and complex environments, demonstrate critical thinking and flexibility, and execute a variety of roles throughout a lifetime career. The program will develop the student’s cultural competence in practicing nursing within a diverse society. Provide an overview of health care accounting, reimbursement, legal statutes, and information technology skills needed for managerial nursing positions. Develop the student’s critical thinking skills to improve professional nursing practice and health care outcomes. Expose the student to nursing and health care philosophy and theories necessary for collaborative and interdisciplinary leadership. Provide students with an understanding of the professional nursing role in the health care team.
