University of North Texas

Originally the Texas Normal College and Teachers’ Training Institute, the University of North Texas was founded in 1890. It is located in Denton, Texas, which is about 35 miles from downtown Fort Worth. The university has more than 36,000 students and offers more than 200 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and is a Texas online university. The University of North Texas is recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its online graduate education and business programs. Texas Women’s University

Texas Women’s University was founded in 1901 as the Girls Industrial College as a public women’s college. Located in Denton, the university has admitted men since the early 1970s; however, it is still recognized as the largest women’s university in the U.S. With more than 14,000 students, it has two more physical campuses in Dallas and Houston, as well as an online college. The University of Texas Dallas
