San Antonio College

Part of the Alamo Community College District, San Antonio College is a public institution currently serving more than 25,000 students. The school was established in 1925, making it the oldest public, two-year college in Texas. The University of Texas at San Antonio

The University of Texas at San Antonio was established in 1969 and is the third-largest of the nine schools that comprise the University of Texas System. The school is a public, four-year institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and currently serves more than 30,000 students. Like a number of universities in Texas, UTSA has recently expanded their online degree programs through the University of Texas' Online Consortium. Available areas of study include criminal justice, education, industrial technology, health services technology, humanities, multidisciplinary studies, nursing, public administration, and sociology. Both undergraduate and graduate-level programs are available for online students.

With a population of more than two million people in the metropolitan area, San Antonio is the second largest city in Texas and the seventh largest in the nation.
